Six Sigma Executive Briefing at ARCDI
Posted 2005-10-17Featured Articles

Six-Sigma. It is the cornerstone and pillar of many successful companies.  It has been the prime energy ingredient for that competitive edge in the fierce battle for product and/or service greatness. Many are still skeptical, or confusedÖor perhapsÖ.still in search of that final convincing answer to the question: "Do I take the leap forward and adopt Six-Sigma program? WhyÖ. and Why not?"

ARCDI, in partnership with DTF Consulting Network, provided that chance to get that much needed upfront understanding of what Six Sigma is all about, by hosting a Six Sigma Executive Briefing "A Leader's Guide to Achieving Rapid Business Improvement", last October 14, 2005 at the ARCDI site.  DTF Consulting Network, through its Client Relationship Manager, Mr. Joseph Aguiting,  brought in Mr. R. Paramasivam, the Director of Six Sigma Business Development of Motorola University, as the resource speaker.  He was warmly welcomed by ARCDI Executive Director, Mr. Cesar Quiason.

Mr. R. Paramasivam introduced to senior management representatives the Six Sigma principles and methodologies.  A key component of the session was a discussion about how to align a Six Sigma initiative with an organization's overall business strategy and goals and the key criteria for success associated with Six Sigma implementation. He also defined the DMAIC methodology and the various tools applied for continuous improvement.

Mr. Quiason also mentioned ARCDI's role as the catalyst for the adoption of Six Sigma on company operations.
