Last October 26, 2005, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between ARCDI and Inter-Coastal International Technologies Corporation, a company dedicated to the design and installation of industrial automation products and solutions. The MOU basically states that Inter-Coastal is willing to re-locate some of its equipment to the ARCDI premises, and provide training methodology and materials that could be used for the conduct of training in the various fields of Industrial Automation. ARCDI and Inter-Coastal recognize the importance of the need to assist engineers in Mfg. industries in the field of Industrial Automation. Through this endeavor, a new Industrial Automation Training lab is now being created.
Present during the MOU signing were ARCDI Executive Director Cesar Quiason and Inter-Coastal Vice-President Maribel Jardeleza, as the two main signatories, with ARCDI Administration Officer Edith del Rosario and Inter-Coastal President Deogracias Tad-y as witnesses.


Also present during this event were Inter-Coastal Training Manager Francis Arcenal and staff Ana Deveas, and ARCDI project consultant Peter Awayan, who heads the support services in the implementation of the Industrial Automation Training program.

The general curriculum design will be mentored by a team composed of Francis Arcenal (Inter-Coastal), Peter Awayan (ARCDI consultant), Olsen Bandahala (On Semiconductor) and Teofilo Llanez (Sanyo Semiconductor).
