Intended for engineers who have previously learned and practiced Classical DOE, this module is a discussion of Taguchi's alternative method of designed experiments, introducing the participants to new, but equally effective, techniques on orthogonal array designs. For a better appreciation of the course, software application is also included.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the course, participants are expected to:
- Learn when to select Taguchi's designs over other popular designs;
- Select and conduct appropriate orthogonal array designs; and
- Analyze and interpret the results for product/process improvement and design.
TARGET PARTICIPANTS:
Engineering and quality assurance personnel involved in product/process control, improvement and design.
PRE-REQUISITE SKILLS:
Classical DOE / Hypothesis Testing
