Disciplined Maintenance Workmanship is designed to enhance the Basic Knowledge, Skills and develop the proper attitude of a workman. It fully defines the proper order of discipline at work and use of implements, instruments and hand tools. This makes the common dream of Maintenance Managers, Supervisors and Engineers in a manufacturing plant a reality, with gains of quality, productivity, cost and people empowerment.
COURSE OBJECTIVES : At the end of the course, participants are expected to:

COURSE OUTLINE :
§ Discipline in workmanship –(Defined introduction) - 2 hours § Important development of Knowledge, Skills and Attitude (KSA)
§ Introduction to Empowered Workforce (Autonomous Maintenance)
§ Maintenance discipline – 4 hours lecture § Participants will learn the important discipline in maintenance workmanship
§ Will learn the basic components and interacting elements' Optimal 7condition
§ Will learn the Troubleshooting techniques, a concept that will up-skill the work force, empower them to do the basic maintenance and continuous improvements
§ Basic hand tools / cutting tools – 2 hours lecture / workshop § Workman will learn the basic design theory, safety, proper use and care of common hand tools to support the discipline and workmanship
§ Fasteners, Nuts and Bolts – 4 hours lecture / workshop § Participants will learn the importance of fasteners, application, safety and maintenance of fastener.
§ Participants will learn that Fasteners, nuts and bolts are the most neglected components in machinery, fixtures and assemblies that leads to failures of high magnitude
§ Basics of Lubrication ( Tribology ) – 2 hours lecture § Participants will learn the basic importance of lubrication, application and lubricant selection and characteristics.
