Ronald S. de los Reyes received a B.S. degree in Chemistry and a Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of the Philippines, Diliman. He has served the Philippine electronics industry as a materials engineering consultant for Amkor Technology and as a project manager of the Materials Science and Failure Analysis Laboratory at Hitachi Storage Solutions. Recently, he has been a research engineer at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Maryland, College Park, USA. In this appointment, he developed a prototype equipment for nanofabrication using electrostatic discharges. Currently, he is a professor and the director of the school of engineering at De La Salle University – Canlubang. At present, his research work is on the reliability and failure analysis of integrated circuit packages.
